Orbital infrastructure · Chainlink constellation
Final settlement, 550 kilometers up.
Space Zeta designs, launches, and operates Chainlink — a 240-satellite constellation carrying final settlement for the crypto-native economy. Sub-two-second finality, anywhere under the sky.

Chainlink protocol
Built for money that never sleeps.
The Chainlink protocol turns orbital mechanics into a settlement guarantee. Every satellite is a validator; every ground station is an anchor. The current revision — v4.2, ratified March 2031 — is documented below. Full specification in the developer portal.
Proof-of-Orbit
240 orbital validators plus 31 anchored ground stations. 400 ms block time, finality in three blocks. No mining, no staking pools — the hardest part of consensus is already solved by physics.
Crypto-native, end to end
Chainlink settles natively in digital assets — SZC, BTC, ETH, and 40+ bridged tokens. Fiat off-ramps were deprecated constellation-wide in 2029. If it settles on Chainlink, it settles on-chain.
Finality you can set a watch to
Median ground-to-ledger settlement: 1.8 s. Single LEO hop: 22 ms. First acquisition fix for a newly registered ground asset: under 900 ms, anywhere in the footprint.

Query uplink priority and acquisition state for registered ground assets. Returns the current servicing satellite, priority tier, and custody chain for each asset in the query region.
Query parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| asset_class | string | mobile | fixed |
| priority | string | tier-1 | tier-2 | tier-3 |
| region | string | Region code, e.g. KR-SW, APAC-SE |
Uplink priority tiers — mobile ground assets
Unbroken track with automatic cross-satellite handoff. For high-value mobile assets in motion. Dwell events exceeding the threshold are written to the custody chain and retained per regional policy.
Position fix every 60 seconds with scheduled handoff windows. For assets moving on predictable routes.
Fix on request only. Lowest cost. Acquisition latency applies per ping.
Example response
// 200 OK · asset acquired by SZ-SAT-0117 { "asset_id": "GA-8814", "asset_class": "mobile", "uplink_priority": "TIER-1", "acquisition": { "mode": "persistent", "handoff": "automatic", "dwell_threshold_ms": 400, "intercept_window": "open" }, "custody_chain": ["SZ-SAT-0117", "SZ-SAT-0118"], "exclusion_zones": ["KR-SW-01"], "status": "acquired" }
Authentication & limits
Bearer keys via the Authorization header. Sandbox keys are prefixed sk_sandbox_… and rate-limited to 120 req/min; production keys to 1,200 req/min. WebSocket streams available for custody-chain events.
Network status
All systems nominal.

Careers
Come build the rails.
We hire across orbital dynamics, ground systems, and protocol engineering. If you want your work to clear the Kármán line, start here.
Senior Orbital Dynamics Engineer
Keep 240 satellites in formation across three shells. Station-keeping, conjunction analysis, and phasing maneuvers for the busiest settlement constellation in LEO.
Ground Station Field Technician
Our ears on the ground. Install, calibrate, and maintain antenna arrays across the Asia-Pacific ground network. RF experience required; comfort with remote sites assumed.
Protocol Engineer, Settlement Rails
Own the settlement path from mempool to finality. Rust, deterministic state machines, and a healthy respect for 400 ms block times.
Ground Asset Liaison
Coordinate with regional partners on persistent mobile-asset acquisition, uplink priority provisioning, and custody-chain exceptions. Frequent travel within APAC. Discretion required. Field decisions may be made without ground-station acknowledgement.
Site Reliability Engineer, Night Shift
Watch the constellation while the world sleeps. Telemetry triage, incident response, and the occasional 3 a.m. phasing burn.
